I've had very good service for the past few days in Pittsburgh. The only outage I encountered was a 5-minute hiccup while working out earlier this evening.
It's encouraging to see people posting positive feedback for a change. It looks like Virgin Mobile may be right on the cusp of fixing this for good.
Looking for more positive feedback. I might rebuy one if I can see the results are getting better.
Sorry for jumping into the topic, but when did you buy your phone? I picked mine up last Friday, and no luck thus far with 3G. In the Milwaukee area as well.
I forgot about this thread, but around 2:15pm I called executive escalations once again, as I still had the "redirect of death" issue. The lady I spoke with warned me that the 3G outage still presented a possibility of drops, and said that they'd already done all the troubleshooting they could, but I asked her nicely to reset my plan. She decided she would, though said there were no guarantees... And everything's worked! I've been running solely on 3G (not wifi) since, and it's been perfect.
Ironic she states "there's still an outage"......yet when she resets your plan, it works.
Sounds like they dont even know if the network is up or not.
So, when you ask them to "reset your plan"... What exactly are you asking them to do? what steps does the end user have to do?
Looking for more stories of people who HAD the data access issue
and are seeing it get better and you can access data now.
might go to wal-mart tomorrow and pick up a new one.
Should I?
you guys should note whether or not you had to restart/airplane mode/dat on/off or anything like that to get data going again....if you didn't, then the major problem is solved....not everybody is being clear as whether there 3g just came back on on it's own or not.
