I like the minimalist look from everyone's screenshot, but I just can't avoid using widgets. They're just too cool and very useful.

I like this look but would like to know;
which launcher is that, which icons are those, and what that power bar widget (for brightness, volume, battery etc in the first screenshot) that is?

Here is my current screen. Have to admit, the Android system continues to amaze me! I LOVE IT!

My screen is actually using hidden icons - click on the middle of the Empire State bldg and it turns on Bluetooth. Also, using hidden Circle Launcher - is engaged when you click just to the right of the same bldg.

New to android (and smartphones in general) here and have a few questions as I set my phone up to my liking. I can post my desktops after the questions are answered...

First, what is the icon bar at the bottom of the home screens called? I see some nice looking ones in this thread and don't know how to change it. Is that native to particular home launchers? Examples from the beginning of the thread that I like.... Looking more, perhaps that is phone specific?

Next question, my stock home has only 3 main buttons on the bottom to open the app drawer, phone, and browser. On either side of that is dots that show which screen you are on and also respond to touch to switch screens (instead of swiping.) I don't like the swiping screens and love just touching the buttons on the bottom to switch. How can I get a button down there on another home launcher to switch screens? I currently am trying Home++.

Last one is, how do you change icons? All I see searching for icons seems to be huge icon galleries for developers. Not interested in spending $40 just to change icons. I don't know how it works to get custom icons for the apps and such.

Have screenshots of my screens, but being new to smartphones, haven't figured out how to upload from my phone to my photobucket account yet without my USB cord to use the PC...

does anyone know of a site that specialises in sofa/wall wallpapers? I would like to change from my usual one that is like this...

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

No, but you could try Google or the search feature of any wallpaper site
Yep - advanced image search in Google, set resolution and file types high, should find you something interesting. You could also browse Deviant Art, which has oodles of such things, some created from scratch in cinema 3D program that look really awesome :cool:

Not bleh at all, I like it bunches :cool:
bleh, Posting just to post something :)
