That's the best tool bar Android has ever had. They should never have got rid if it or should give you the option to have it.

I like to keep mine nice and simple. The weather map background is also quite handy, especially last night when I had to be weather aware.

My new Moto X desktop. Custom clock / battery bar with UCCW, icons from Tha PHLASH. I really like being able to hold the home and slide up to get to my Google cards, and the hands free moto assist... I really don't need much on my desktop accessible all the time. I tagged my battery bar to open my photos, and I never make phone calls, so I'm pretty much good with just this one page. Swipe up for all other apps of course :)

HTC, Sony, and Nexus devices get Power+Down. Not sure for LG people. They used to do Power+Home like Samsung if I remembered correctly but I think they changed it.
