Pie is amazing, it's such a flashy looking feature! I've not seen it yet, think I've read about it though. Is it the one were notifications pop up on your screen and opens a little box up of the app?

Yep, just like Facebook chat bubbles but for any notification. And they come up anywhere too, looks amazing.

Where did you get your release? I could only find recent paranoidkangdroid

I'm using Nova Launcher and can use the Picture Frame widget and it looks like this. I can resize the widget to make it centered on my homescreen.
