I used NOVA and APEX for a bit but found myself going back to TouchWiz... the other ones just didn't feel right...

How did you change the look of the icons like camera without a launcher?
 
With all of the customized widgets, launchers and icon packs involved, you'd think my home screen would be more creative, but it's still pretty utilitarian. Live on Evernote, though, so it's good having the widget on the home screen. uploadfromtaptalk1342881202092.jpg

you can change the icons out by using the Simple Text icon app. Instead of making and using the ones with that app, I just made/edited some in Photoshop, uploaded them to the phone and placed them on the screen with the 1x1 Simple Text Widget and and just tell it to launch the appropriate app for the icon you made.

Simple and clean. Only using one more clock with apex launcher. And a jelly bean theme for the icons.

1% Battery Mod

No need to install another gallery app just to have scrolling wallpaper. Just download Wallpaper Setter. Much easier.
 
I am trying to figure out if I want to go from my One X to a SIII because I am tired of the signal issues. However the thing that I will miss most is the Weather on the home screen where it shows it raining and windshild wipers or lightning if there is going to be a lightning storm and ect, is there any app that can be put on the SIII that has the same effect that it does when you unlock the screen on the One X?

Change the wallpaper to the stock windmills. It changes with the weather & time of day.
