Anyone who has really fooled around with multiple roms, post your high scores and rom info. I've hit as high as 5s with linpack and I'm wondering what else can be done to get that up and what roms are fastest. I've been trying out roms like crazy and want to find one I really like or that is crazy fast. DONT BE SHY, JUST POST!

Might be a good idea to explain what you mean by linpack, and how to find this info. ;)

just looked at the list for DEVICES and most of the highest are in the 5.5 range and are running Darchoid.

Hmm, that's a pretty wide range of numbers, too bad I won't be.seeing those for quite some time as I just somehow lost root and am stuck without the ability to nandroid back. I'll have to start trying one more roms out once I'm back though. Just started a new thread about my problem if anyone is feeling helpful lol.

3.263 using purehero @ 768mhz.

Had it at 5.2ish with JIT enabled, but the phone was constantly freezing and rebooting.

Fresh Toast @ 768 MHz: 3.2 MFLOPS with all programs installed

Aloysius (or Damage) @ 768 MHz: 5.0 with all programs installed (5.3 MFLOPS just after install)

With that said, Fresh was still smoother and bug free, and let me keep Sense. I had multiple FC's in the 1 day I used Aloysius.

neocore and benchmark pi are other good benchmark programs.

Frest toast calculated Pi in 9 seconds while aloysius did it in 6. Frames per second was something like 23 with fresh and 30 with Aloysius.

Getting 1 to 2 days out of a charge running Fresh Toast OC
Can't wait for the 2.2 JIT since it seems to be less buggy and even quicker.

wow!! it seems zen is pretty fast! i'm running fresh 2.3.3 and i only managed 2.779 MFLOPS in 1.95 seconds..that's with darch's kernal running at 710..hmm..anything to speed things up?

why is zen's rom so fast?!?

4.98... running Froyo clocked to 710 with JIT and stable.. bet I could get higher if I used OCwidget or setCPU to clock it higher.. but what's the point..

I'm glad to hear about the headway being made on froyo for us, despite those benchmarks being a little lower than I expected.

they're still a LOT higher than stock... and face it... there's some serious hardware limitations to deal with. I'm sure as the ROM matures and more people tweak it, the numbers will go up.

Stock 2.1- 1.8 mflops

Fresh 2.1.2- 2.8 mflops OCed

Fresh 2.3.3- 3.1 mtlops OCed

Cyanogen 6.0.0 (Froyo) 5.1- mflops OCed

Oh yeah I'm sure it will get even better, I'm just sayin that because I've used several 2.1 roms with jit and OC at 710 hit 5's on linpack.

DarchDroid 2.7, Linpack shows 4.765 mflops. Much better than what I've achieved with any other ROM, including Fresh. Zen was my favorite ROM until installing Darch yesterday.
