Post your "I have my Xoom" posts here...

Well I just jumped in the pool with both feet!

I am an iPhone user but got my wife a Droid phone and have wanted a tablet ever since.

I started out looking at the cheap Chinese ones on Ebay, but was swayed away due to a number of issues, mostly Honeycomb OS.

Then I was toying with the Archos G9 for $275 but found this refurb deal! For $65 more, I get 4x the internal memory and a Motorola product!

So given that I am new to tablets and relatively new to android, where should I start?

Thanks, John

My character fault is that I count my chickens before they hatch...

That said, tomorrow I'll have my new Xoom. I participated in the $199 program and intended on changing plans to a 2ndary line on my account only to be informed that the MTN I bought it on must stay active on the PDA plan for the duration of the contract.

Sadly I accepted being bullied and will keep it. I'm VERY much looking forward to ICS (again counting that chicken WAY before hatch).

Summary: as of this posting I have two chickens and love them both.

My wifi Xoom does SMS quite nicely with Google Voice... :-)

It's one of the best choices even after a year! Xoom combines technology, connectivity, size and mobility...very recommended!!!! (price is dropped)

I just got a Xoom from a friend. He had it for about 6 months or so, I but he then wanted a smaller target so he gave the Xoom to me. Right now I'm posting from it and also doing research about rooting when you have jelly bean 4.1.2.

Same root method for all versions of WiFi xoom... maybe all xooms period, not sure. But if you have a WiFi xoom its the same, doesn't matter if you have 3.2, 4.0.1, or 4.1.2

I only have the WIFI version, and I use my iPhone as a hotspot, so no need to pay the monthly data usage. I'm happy about it
