I just bought a Nexus 4. What do you think about this? It is good?

The Nexus 4 was (is?) a great phone. I had mine for almost two years, but it doesn't do LTE and it's done as far as updates -- it never got Marshmallow officially) so if you can live with that, you will love it, too.

Correct, the N4 didn't get 6.0, and I also think my N5 is done now with official updates. I will be looking into alternatives though.

A new gadget for my Xiaomi collection, a Xiaomi Yeelight Indoor Night Light Bed Lamp from Coolicool. No Xiaomi fans here!? The lamp works perfectly with mi band, if someone has one.....

I see a lot of people using Xiaomi phones, and I have first choice when it comes to China tech. :thumbsupdroid: ...and I did buy an Android DLP projector "home theater system" a couple of months ago, and the electric scooter as well which was more of a necessity than a desire(I detest buses). My last two phones have been Oppo, and the R7 Plus still serves me great, especially battery life. Fitness bands and smart-watches are not something I really need or would use.

Probably for some AF members, not going to be using a Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, Meizu, Gionee, Doogee, Zopo, Oukitel, Elephone, knock-off iPhone, etc, if carrier happens to be Verizon or Sprint, or wants to put up with 2G GSM/EDGE service only with many of them, i.e. they don't have North American 3G and 4G LTE bands.

I bought a new combo lock for the cabin. Far superior to the hasp and padlock. :)

The 128GB's have been selling on Amazon lately for about that same amount. Of course caution is still required, buy from Amazon direct only/no 3rd-party sellers, and check for authenticity as soon as it arrives.

Here in Greece a lot of people buy from China and prefer Xiaomi as it is a reliable company. I myself have 3 mobiles from Xiaomi (Mi3/Note 4G/Mi Note Pro) and a dozen of gadgets (and I update this list as you have seen). I have 2-3 things in my mind to buy in the next weeks....

If you like oatmeal, Starbucks does a good job of it (this was lunch today).

And if you like coffee, try making your oatmeal with half coffee, half hot water. You're likely to get an odd look, but hey, pioneers have to put up with a lot. :D

That looks like a $20 lunch.. $8 cup of coffee plus a $10 sip of soup + taxes. Lmfao. The "Grande" cup is like 6oz or something, I'd hate to see a "small". BS, really. [emoji12] . Major false advertising/misleading. They need to be shut down for their daily practices of Lying & overcharging. Green tea was good tho. [emoji41]

Did a precautionary replacement of the supply in my desktop PC since it's 6 years old, picked up one of these refurb'd at Micro Center for a good price-

Way overkill for my current needs but who knows, maybe I'll decide to build a new machine and I can swap it over. The fan control is nice, it doesn't run the fan at all until it starts seeing a heavy load which in this system will probably be never so it's nice and quiet just loafing along.

yeah, I am really tired of the extremely long charge times from my existing 12VDC car cigarette lighter socket recharger....

It just barely puts out enough juice to keep my Note 4 and Google Maps up and running.... it gains something like about 5%/hour ?? I guess it is okay, if you were using it for extended trips.... but what usually happens is, the Note 4 dies in the store, and the next stop is only 15 minutes away, and the battery only gets maybe 1% or 2% at best by the next stop.....

totally ridiculous.... this thing will put an end to that sob story.

This is what I did for my S4:

Plus 2 extra batteries. Usually, I can get through a day:confused:. Unfortunately with most OEM's now opting for a sealed battery compartment, this option will no longer be feasible. Don't get me started on that.

I have a very heavy and thick CandyShell Grip case on my Note 4, and I am not willing to use extra thick batteries, nor carry extra batteries... it is a PITA to keep them charged, kind of puts me back where I am now, in a hard place, and unable to charge them up readily.

I have an extra charger similar to yours for my old Galaxy S. It was more painful than just keeping the phone on a leash. I kept loosing the extra batteries, or the one extra in my pocket was already dead and I forgot to charge it up.... dementia will do that to you :( :( it is called "old age disease". o_O

At least, with the charger that I just ordered up, I can slip by a day or two while on tour with my motorcycle and not always have to have a wall-wart handy.... It just seemed to me, that I would be sitting in a Fast Food place soaking in some Air Conditioning and trying to catch up on the world, and my Note 4 would get hungry also.... argh! I have a medical condition that prevents my body from regulating core temperature, and when I get hot, I have to find Air Conditioning "right now"... during those times, I use up a lot of battery in the phone.....

with the pocket battery/charger from Anker, at least I can delay the requirement for a full charge at a bedside table.

I was in my bank today talking to the finance lady....

she saw the apps I was pulling up to get the Finance info she wanted for my needs...
Evernote, Note Everything, and "Guestures" for pulling up a name to call...

she has iOS and found the first two in a search real fast, we stopped talking before I found out if 'guestures' is available on iOS.

I didn't convince her to go to Android, didn't even try to. She was just excited to hear about the helper apps that related to her business world.
