Oh very nice indeed! How much and where did you get them?

$ 79.99 for a prepaid minutes card.
(Almost) same as always.

Except this time there was an $ 11.80 PPD MTS surcharge, for the first time in my experience.

Am neither reflexively "anti-tax", and definitely not a "never met a social program I didn't like" kind of guy. But this one strikes me as really uncool, and opinion has nothing to do with how it affects me personally. Have heard many arguments pro and con, not pleased with this one, for a variety of reasons. I would rave on about this, but not enough space for the blah, blah, blah.:mad:

AND the Dodgers lost big!:mad::mad:

Thanks for the link, good thorough review.

I'll give it a go and see, I really just want something that vibrates when I get a notification on my phone. I don't have high expectations and the price is right for what I want out of it. I just can't bring myself to buy another full-blown smartwatch.

Google Home. Three of them. I pre-ordered them weeks ago, but Walmart.com only charged my credit card last night when they were ready to ship. I had no idea what that charge was when my credit card's fraud alert flagged it, so I denied the charge and they cancelled my card. DUH! Then this morning I went to the Walmart website, only to learn that the charge was legit... but my credit card was dead at that point. So I put it on my debit card to continue the purchase and the morons DOUBLE CHARGED ME! :mad:

I called Walmart and the rep verified the double charge, and told me that it would be escalated to a supervisor... who has up to 7 days to contact me! Thanks, morons! Meanwhile, that's money out of my account! I'll let them have it with both barrels when they finally get around to calling me to reverse the charge.

For someone who just wants wristborne notifications, it would probably be fine. I sent mine to a friend who uses it when doing yard work, and he really enjoys it.

The vibration is really annoying though - far more so than either my Pebble or my Huawei Watch.

Alright, so it's a little bit late in the season for these but they were on sale. These are Bug-A-Salts.
Pump action insect assault rifles that use table salt for ammo. My buddy brought a couple to my cabin last weekend and we had a blast annihilating flies with them. Accurate out to three feet and they hold fifty rounds of lose table salt. Crazy fun.

Not exactly my purchase, my boss paid the bill, but I got a Surface Pro 4 this week. Keyboard, pen, mouse, the whole plan. The screen and speed are okay, but I'm not impressed by its battery life.
Didn't they already add a bigger battery to it compared to the Surface 3?

I don't know about the 3's battery life.
And why is it so chunky and freaking heavy? So much more than let's say... A Samsung Galaxy tab?

Well the Surface is a proper PC that runs desktop applications, while the Galaxy Tab is an oversized Android phone without the phone bits. I hate to admit it, but Android still isn't great for larger screens. The Surface should be significantly more capable.

My Martian watch came yesterday, so far I like it (for what it is). The vibration is just right for me, I wear my watches sort of loose so need a strong buzz. The watch itself is easy to read and the notifications, though tiny, are certainly 'readable' as well. Battery life seems good too, I've been playing with it since yesterday afternoon and it's at 72% right now. Of course it's not as versatile as the Moto 360 but it's a hella cheaper, I get my notifications and it keeps my phone unlocked. Yup, so far so good.

I do not have photographic proof, but 2 tickets to the 11:50 AM showing of Doctor Strange yesterday morning. Good flick, that said I am sure I'd have enjoyed it more in my more experimental days of early college. (Meaning, if you like psychedelics this calls for em.)
;)

Watched it (and enjoyed it) yesterday as well.

I will say I'm glad my wife talked me out of the 3D showing. :D

We opted for 3-D which honestly I am old and curmudgeonly enough to not be a fan of generally, I think it works well for this movie and recommend it be seen that way. Just say'n. :D
