I hated progressive lenses and opted for bifocals. Okay, sure it makes me look like my grandfather, but after all, I AM a grandfather. :)

Here's the thing, I don't mind them so far and it IS nice to be able to see and read again without propping my glasses on my head. I am not overtly vain, but I do have a lovely wife 15 years my junior, I didn't want it to look like she was out with her dad if we went to dinner.

Missed it, love to know what was posted and then hastily removed, I am not easily offended if that helps!

I've got good news and bad news for you, and it's only an opinion from a much older man with bright silver grey hair gathered like cliff moss on the side of my bald, alien shaped head.....

..... but I don't think the glasses add a false impression of age as nuch aa the grey in the follicle protrusion on your chin.

Google Barbers in your area and try here again for more opinions :)

Of course you can always change the frames, but I think they're fine.

It's true. A little grey can be cool, as long as it stops there.

I'm overdue to get proper specs so they may make me younger.

I have non prescriptive ones they sell now at supermarkets at various strengths (I took the weakest) that did help with small text on forms, but cause a headache so I leave them but I did look really cool in a mirror (at a funfair).

Also got prescription shades ...

Now that's way cool!

..... but for the love of God could you finally now slow down very gently, pull over, and kindly unstrap the photographer/s or your wife from the hood (bonnet).

It's been some time and I'm sure they are a little cold, if not petrified. Thanks. :p

Both (one last night) and one today were taken when my wife was driving (last night) or when I was in a parking lot (today). I am a very safe driver, sometimes.

EDIT:

I IM'd the vendor this morning by Wechat, and he's actually building them at home. And the nixie tubes are apparently USSR made ones, new old stock, as I'm pretty sure this type of display is no longer manufactured.

FWIW I think it's only really China and Russia that still makes valves(vacuum tubes).
Nice! I look forward to seeing it! I'm really pleased with the Nixie clock kit I put together ~6 months ago:

The tubes are indeed stamped CCCP; the date stamp also indicates they were made in the same month as me.

It arrived yesterday...and very happy with it. :thumbsupdroid:

Tubes are IN-4, dated March 1974, I was 11 then :D

Micro-USB, so no exotic power supplies needed here.
...and made last Sunday apparently. 3rd June, 2018.

Dong Le Shan is the guy who makes these.

I don't think he does any international sales, because it's only on TaoBao and the instructions are in Chinese only.
