It's called Whistle Go and it's a pet tracker. You can read all about it on their website.

It goes on the pet's collar, and syncs with your phone. It uses GPS in conjunction with its app to track your pet. You define 'safe zones' and it alerts you if your pet is away from them.

Although Joy Noelle never goes outside (except for her least favorite thing, seeing our vet), and is microchipped and has tags on her collar, I bought it anyway. It looked like fun. It can do all sorts of stuff, like monitor her activity and sleep...but, really? She's a cat. They sleep a lot. Ever heard the term 'cat nap?' :D

Oh--it's pink, her favorite color!

So I drive a truck for a living and let me tell you it can get pretty expensive out here on the road. especially when it comes to food $7-$10 for a meal at fast food restaurant inside a truck stop.
A nice sit down meal at Denny's or Iron Skillet or some other such place is going to run you $15-$25
There are the two hotdogs for $3.33, you can get at most truck stops, generally speaking it's something you have maybe once or twice a week.
Then there is the limited amount of groceries you can buy in a truck stop.
A can of spam you find at Walmart for $2.99
You'll pay $6.99-$7.99
A 99 cent roll of paper towels , will run you $2 in a truck stop
Generally speaking prices in truck stops are two to three times the amount of your grocery store and Walmarts.
So generally speaking any time is drivers have the opportunity to go shopping at Walmart or grocery store we do:thumbsupdroid:
So last week I was done for maintenance issues in Rippon California. When I arrived at the first arrived it was a Friday and I had barely five hours remaining on my 70 hour clock.
So I shut down for a 34 hour reset.
It was after 4 in the afternoon and being how I had been up since 2 or 3 am, I was beat.
Around 8 pm I woke up hungry, I had stuff to make sandwiches or warm something up. I think I went and got a hot dog or burger.
I didn't eat again until the following evening I think I made a tuna sandwich.
On Sunday I did lunch at taco Bell.
Monday finally came and I walked over to speak with someone about getting my maintenance issue handle

So back to the truck I went. I read a little, watch some Netflix, fell asleep.
I woke up maybe around 2pm since my lunch at taco Bell I hadn't eaten.
I had food on the truck, but nothing seem to jump out at me, there were please of restaurants around but again nothing got my attention.
So I decided to go shopping at a local super market, posted some items I bought early
When I got there the store was full of people. I grabbed a cart and look around deciding where to start???
As I was deciding several guys strolled past me. Right off the bat I knew they were drivers first by their attire, one of the guys was wearing a ball cap you get at a truck stop back east
Second by what they had in their carts. Cases of water , Gatorade, ramen noodles, potatoe chips, cookies, cans of tuna, peanut butter and jelly,
They also had paper goods
There where no fresh produce items, no poultry , no fresh meat or fish, nothing frozen.
So I ended up grabbing some items since I was walking I only grabbed a small amount of groceries and made a list of other stuff to come back and get.
Altogether I think I made four trips over the course of several days.
I stock up on supplies, got stuff I needed, stuff that will last.
You know how else I could tell they were truckers actually two ways 1) several of them were wearing blue parrot heads sets similar to mine (sorry but so far I have only seen truck drivers use them)
2) shopping habits, generally speaking you make your list you start in produce and slowly make your way through the store. You compare prices, maybe price match with another store, it's slow and methodical
Drivers are up and down the aisles grabbing this and that, they are in and out of the store no playing around no socializing

Stocked up for awhile, eh?

I'm not surprised at the other guys you saw, not buying anything fresh or healthy. I've heard that long-haul truck drivers are very likely to have weight and health problems related to their job. All that sitting, and being alone, can make it tempting to just mindlessly snack. That wouldn't be bad--if they were snacking on apples and carrot sticks! But potato chips and such, nope.

I will admit that truck drivers are not the healthy bunch of people you will meet. Because of deadlines, trying to get loads deliver on time, dealing with the day to day activities, generally speaking eating healthy is the last thing on my mind and alot of other drivers minds.
Another thing is most trucks have a very small refrigerator in them (if they have them at all) add in alot of trucks run teams, with two people using one tiny refrigerator the kind you find in a college dorm, your only going to have the bare essentials.
On the other hand, alot of truck stops especially the major chain ones, Loves travels stops, Flying J, they offer a limited selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Flying J's and pilots have a hot food line, where depending upon the day , you can get bake chicken, salmon, meat or vegetarian lasagna, with steam vegetables.
The other day I grabbed a chicken salad for dinner.
So there are healthy things out there for drivers
It's just taking a few minutes to choose to eat right

Sorry but I am going to have disappoint you, I do not interact with lots lizards, I have come across several while walking through various truck parking lots, the stint of my interactions has been a polite hello or simple acknowledgment.I know you read that and are like that really sucks.o_O
You know what sucks more ending up with some STD you have to explain to your wife:thumbsdowndroid:
You know what also sucks? Brining some lady/guy (depending what your into) and they rob you blind,! Your caught up in the moment and next thing you know their buddies are in the truck, your out muscle pin down, bound and gag, and they clear you out.
Maybe they rape you stick a knife in you and you bleed out, now that really sucks, I don't think any could suck more
