I've just gone through the whole thread and I really like some of these lockscreens!
As an Android dummy I'd really like to know how you make these things, because I wouldn't mind doing something similar (lockscreen & homescreen) for my Xperia Neo V Where and how do I start, what tools/apps/equipment do I need?

As far as I know, most if not all lockscreen replacements cost a little something, widgetlocker is roughly a couple of dollars, but hell you get so much fun out of it, with a user friendly learning curve and about everything customizable... Personally the best buy I ever made from the android market.

Normally I get tired of seeing half naked women in the screeshots here... but this one is hella nice. Very tastefully put together!
