Post Your Lockscreen Screenshots (WidgetLocker, etc.)

yeah I think I'm going to need your assistance with this. Where do I start and doing this won't mess anything else on the phone will it? Sorry but I'm a rookie, can you tell ;)

We all had to start somewhere didn't we? ;) Do you visit XDA where the original post is? Otherwise we can do it in PM, no problem.

I will help you to get this sorted out.

I will help you to get this sorted out and I won't tell you you should buy another phone like a certain person told me once when I asked for help and now has entered this discussion :(

Dude, why do you diss me like that? Can't you take a joke? And, if you recall, I helped you plenty...

I have tried researching this, but I haven't had much luck in the actual answers I've found. I found one app that allows you to modify the icon on your unlock slider, but I guess it has major problems and doesn't always work. Widgetlocker seems to have a lot of options, but if I wanted to make my own slider icon and background ... can I do that with Widgetlocker? Pretty much I want to make my slider a spaceship and the background of the slider a warp bubble. If that makes sense. Just don't want to pay the money for it if it won't do what I want :)

Yes, you can make your own sliders. Most of the sliders shown in this thread are custom-made.

Look at the Official xda Thread for more info on that.

What programs or applications is used to be able to adjust the angle of the slider, as well as the image of the slider? - (in this case, instead of the "B" can you use anything?)

Here's my current one.

Looks like he made his own WidgetLocker slider. You can make it look like just about anything you want :)

So this was my first attempt at a lock screen. Other than the fact I don't like the color of the clock (I'm thinking about just removing the clock), I think it turned out really well. Most people seem to remove the status bar across the top, and I have it removed once I'm actually in the phone, but I like it being there on the lock screen.

So, the pictures and icons are from EVE online. The screenshot was taken by me in game. The big ship on the left is me, the tiny guy is the bad guy (I added that ship using Microsoft paint).

When I fire my rounds at him (the little bullets on my ship) and make contact, it unlocks the phone. When he sends his wee little drone at me (the thing floating above him), it unlocks and takes me directly to texts.

I swear playing with my lock screen is more fun than actually playing video games.

Very cool, but clearly from your description a still cap doesn't do your work justice lol - are you using Widegetlocker, and if so, may I pretty please try it out? :)

Haha. Now if I can just figure out how to make a "bang" sound when I slide the ammo and make an explosion on the small ship, then we would really be going somewhere!

I am using Widgetlocker, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to actually make a theme (the XDA post about it doesn't have the pictures so I'm only getting like 40% of the lesson I feel like), so I went through all the themes they have on XDA until I found one with a slider that didn't have a background at all attached to it, then put two of em on my screen (reversed one) and changed the icons.

I'd be more than happy to share the stuff if you wanted to do some building on your end :) haha
