Postcode in Contacts

wservices

Lurker
Hello All, having just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab, the first issue I have is that when entering a new contact in the default contacts app, the postcode field (ZIP Code) only allows numbers to be typed and not letters. So I can't enter UK postcodes. But when I sync from Outlook, the Postcode field (ZIP Code) is populated with the correct postcode with letters and numbers.
Any ideas?

This still is a problem on a Galaxy Note 3 I've just received.

So in 3 years it seems that no-one on this useless forum has bothered to reply and Samsung still can't make decent software to save their lives.

The sooner Apple make a decent sized phone rather than one for pixies I think I'll migrate back. I hate their ethos but at least I used to be able to enter postcodes in my contacts.

Absolutely un-bloody-believable.
