Help power buton menu gone

Normaly when pressing the power buton a menu is presented with options to close, restart, flight mode, etc...
This menu doesn't apear on my phone. A long press of 2 sec just closes the phone. I have searched the web for a solution. Someone told me to enter some code to the call gui but this didnt dobanything. I think its because he talked about ver 2.3.5 and mine is 4.1.2.
The phone isn't rooted.
Can anyone help? How do I make this menu apear?

Hello and welcome to Android Forums reuvenirony! :)

My initial thought is that you may have a corrupt firmware update and therefore you have 2 choices...

1. Take it to the nearest Samsung Service Point and ask them to fix it. This entails them wiping your phone and re-flashing the firmware and should be covered by your 2 year warranty.

2. Re-flash the firmware yourself, takes about a minute or so, by following the instructions in the link, #1.7, of the http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-s2-international/680070-jelly-bean-update-dummies-guide.html.

Thanks for the answrr. Actually this is exactly what I did. I imstalled a stock ROM from samobile with odin. Is there resly any point doing it again? If there was a problem the first time it would repeat wouldn't it? And slso the phone will be earaced (of cource it is backed up in google).
Any other option? Like some code to enter to show the menu?

Not really, if you are happy with the ROM you flashed.

Not necessarily, if it was caused by a bad upgrade before.

Flashing a stock Samsung firmware should not wipe your phone.

I cannot think of any code that would help you under your circumstances.
