Help POWER button problem!!

I've had my Nexus for just over 2 weeks and never had an issue with it up until now..

The power button does not respond whatsoever, holding it down won't even turn it on.. It started being intermittent and wouldn't wake the phone up from sleep and now it won't even turn on!!

I know the phone itself isn't dead as when I connect the charger the screen lights up with the battery icon charging.

I opened up the phone myself, didn't touch anything.. Will this void my warranty? If so, how much would it cost to repair a power connector if that IS the problem? I may have forgotten to LOCK the OEM from fastboot.. How will the effect the repair?

Can't you just return it? Or did you buy it over ebay or something

Can you plug it into the computer to get the screen to turn on, and unroot? Had that exact problem with my Droid2 and that's what I did. Had no issues replacing it, either.

Got it off ebay, and said they'd exchange it... Didn't want to have to lose all my data, was hoping for a quick fix lol
