I had issues about the power button but now it occasionally will toggle the power to the point the phone just shuts off, does anyone know of a guide or have any suggestions how to open the phone up and possibly push the power button out far enough so it isn't a problem, possibly even fixing the issue?

It's not a matter of "pushing", it's a matter of replacing the switch, which means disassembling the phone, unsoldering the switch and soldering in a new one.
By that point you will have caused so much damage to the phojne that it'll probably cost more to diagnose and repair it than it would to replace it.
Do yourself (and your wallet) a favor and have it repaired by a competent repair shop.

Try this app called button savior(must be rooted), it's in the play market it puts all the buttons right on ur screen, I use it quite a bit.
