Power button

How does your power button feel to you? mushy? perfect click? Mine feels mushy but if I press it in the center I can feel it click.

Another quick thing, try using your nail and try to press the button on the left side away from the headphone jack, it just goes in but doesnt click but if you use your nail and press on the left side towards the headphone jack, it makes a click.

Someone do this for me please!

Try pressing lightly with your finger (lightly meaning with no intentions of pressing the button) the extreme right of the button and then do the left - which side goes in more?

Thanks!

I just tried pressing lightly on either side, and neither side goes in at all. I have to press firmly for it to do anything, which I like.

Yours seems like it might be loose or something.

mine 'wiggles' a little as do all buttons. What are you looking for? Do you think you have a loose button?

Jnkie : Cool! I have yet to see a droid with that strong of a power button :) Almost all of the one i have seen wiggled.

tescohen: try lightly pushing in only the extreme right side of the power button in and try the left extreme then. Does right go in a little more than left?

Here you go

For me it seems like the left side (the bottom one in the picture) has the most 'appartus' under it and if i push down on the right (the top one), it goes down more than left.

never mind. . After further inspection, it does wiggle a little.

But not when I press on it. More like when I SLIDE it slightly, it gives a little. But not to the point where I think it

Okay I am going to rephrase my question - if you press on either extreme sides of the button - which side dips in more until it clicks?

Try and use your nail so as to concetrate the pressure on the end only.

This is the most awesomest thread we've ever had on this forum. When I press my power button, my Droid comes on. But when I press it again, it turns OFF. How weird is that???

This thread feels beyond pointless. I don't find any issues with my power button, the "top" in your picture feels similar to the "bottom" but with less click action. Either way it turns off/on on both sides with enough feedback to let me know, I think if you let people know your intentions it wouldn't seem like such a dumb subject.
