I have a question about my phone and I'm not too sure if it has to do strictly with my phone or if it could be the battery or it could be a combination of the two. Well either way, I'm looking for some way to fix the problem.
So my Ally is about a year and a half old. I've had problems with it for a month now having it randomly shut itself off. A few examples:
1) I will be randomly using my Browser looking at Twitter or Facebook Mobile or simply just doing a Google Search, and my phone will just shut off on me. Once I wait for my phone to start back up, I find that about 20-50% (or even more) of my battery life has been depleted. WTF?!
2) I will go to use my camera and my phone will either shut off and do what 1. said or it will just freeze my screen and I'm stuck until I can pop out my battery and restart my phone... AGAIN. It's gotten to the point where my phone isn't even used for picture taking anymore.
3) I will set my phone down and it will randomly shut itself off -- not clear reason as to why it shut down.
4) ALMOST every time when I restart my phone, my LED light will just blink red -- meaning the battery is dead. But after about 20 minutes or so, I'll try and turn it on and find that I have 17% of my battery available.. UGH.
So I guess what I'm trying to figure out is: is this a battery problem or is this a phone problem that's even worth looking into?
There will be times where I'm out and about trying to get in contact with people and this happens to me -- I'll try to start up my phone but I don't even get to turn the phone back on to text someone what's going on. I'm about four months away from a contract update and I'm counting down the days until I can switch over to an iPhone, because Android has been nothing but a problem for me. I use my iPod Touch more than I use my cellphone.
