Help Power Widget

Hey just a simple ? the power widget has the little sync icon. Is that for the sync of all apps on the phone like email, facebook, news, and anyother widget that updates and use data. It allows me to turn data on/off to all these programs rite? New to Andriod so please bear with me.

It syncs data to all accounts that you have activated in your "My Accounts" setting: Backup Assistant, Corporate Sync, Email, Facebook, Google, My Space, Photobucket, Picasa, Skype, Twitter, Visual Voicemail, and/or Yahoo Mail.
