I agree. Love the equalizer and preamp. Love how it downloads album covers. Worth every penny, then some.

I'm formally a Blackberry user and love the search feature from RIM. How do you use the search feature on this power amp to add to playlist?

You can search for artist/album/song in any folder or playlist by long pressing the Menu button. The keyboard will come up and you type your search word, and it will bring up the artist/albums/songs that match. Then you can long press on the song that comes up and it will bring up a command box allowing you to "add to playlist" among other things. It is pretty intuitive and nice really.
 
This may be a silly question, but can we get equaliser settings to mimic the SRS or Dolby Mobile settings in the HTC player? I don't really know much about equalisers, and listen to lots of things like The Decemberists and other rock/indie bands - any equaliser recommendations? I love the other features of PowerAMP and am going to buy it. Best player on the market and I've tried a few.
 
I dont' know what is up with PowerAMP lately but even after resetting the EQ settings to just flat it is still so bassy that I can't even listen to it I have gone back to the stock android music player .
Could this be something with PowerAMP maybe not being compatable with Gingerbread yet ? anyone running PowerAMP on GB ?

Nope I've got DSP manager off on all settings when using power amp and it's still insanely bassy. It wasn't always this way I honestly think it came about when I started using Gingerbread
 
Has anyone confirmed whether the trial, and / or the full $5 version supports gapless playback?

Its time for some developers to take this seriously.
 
Does this app still work if your phone is not in service anymore and doesn't have internet access?? because I still wanna use this on my old phone after I buy a new phone.I have a feeling that it wont work on a phone with no service because I asked the dev on his website and he never replied.

I hardly ever turn my 3G off but I tried it (with wifi also off) and yes it seems to work fine. I suppose certain parts of the app won't work like locating album art and lyrics, but if you have the mp3 on your sd card you shouldn't have a problem using the player. I guess you wouldn't get the updates though without access to the market.
 
have you tried Mixzing ? [sp?]... I am using it now and find the EQ Presets to be good. The developers have a good ear and they understand clipping etc.
give it a shot. easy to use.

And to the poster re: Bassy - same. give it a try. I'd like to hear from others.

my Optimus T I'm thinking has a relatively weak audio device but the playback quality is pretty good with MixZing basic

Yeah, works just fine. I've used it while the phone was in airplane mode without any problems.
 
it works. alll of them do.
I let my T-mobile prepaid lapse on purpose just to see what the world is like w/o them. loading Line 2 today. using Google voice for texting. There's a lot you can do with free wifi hotspots galore!
 
Can anyone tell me please the mega quickest way to get into the library as it seems it needs a few key presses to get into it and selected a playlist. Would have prefered a playlists button on the main gui.

I never use the library but I think the quickest way would be to tap on the song title and then tap the library button, 2 taps.
Or menu button and library button, also 2 taps :p

Think I was kinda looking for a one tap solution I suppose - but what is your method for choosing albums or playlists or individual songs to play if you dont use the library?

I actually use folders in my dropbox to keep my music synced between pcs. So my albums are all represented by folders anyway. Then I can select the best tracks of an album or just download the entire album to my phone and everything appears in the same folders as on pc.
And I'm just not a playlist type of guy :p

I am not a playlist guy either but have been trying it out on the GT540 as it is useful because of the limited space available on a 1gb microSDHC.

Ouch, 1 gig is rough man, I'm still rockin my stock 4 gig card now but getting cramped so I just ordered a 16 gig. You can find 8 gig cards for the price of a meal nowadays, maybe that's an option ;)

My mistake.
Yeah, I got a 2gb in now but also have a 16gb on order which should arrive in a few days.

Go to settings, there is an option to select startup screen. Select Library. Now, when you open Poweramp, you can select playlists with one tap.
 
Question I had the trial version which was amazing. Now I want it back because I lost it when it wasnt available anymore. So I was using file crop to download it and for some reason when I got to download it say that it didnt for some reason. I tried this with two different downloads of full Version paid apps and it wont work. But I was able to download Need for Speed shift for free so not understanding what the problem here is. Any ideas
