Pre-Order and Trade In Question

The VZW trade in program says I can get $46 for my DX, but I have to mail it in to get the VZW gift card. Is there a way to pre-order a GNEX, receive the $46 at time of pre-order so I don't have to wait on a gift card that wont do me any good once I've already bought the new phone. Or is it possible to retroactively apply the gift card towards the GNEX purchase or apply it to a future bill?
 
BTW, if your DX is still working, you can get much more than $46 for it by selling it yourself rather than trade in.
Sold mine for $200 a couple of weeks ago.

Works and looks great, but I refurbed the lcd a few months back after a drop. in doing so 2 pieces of small lint made it into the inside of the glass screen. You normally can't even see them, but when you can (white backgrounds) it is pretty annoying. I would hate to sell it on Ebay then have to go through the process of someone wanting to return it.

Don't want to re-open the case as there is risk to damaging the internals. I'll take the $46 and run!

Curious though, where did you get $200? They appear to be selling for less than $100 on ebay.
 
I'd check craigslist, also you might get lucky, I sent back two OG droids. Got $100 for one of them and $46 for the other :)

Sold it on Craigslist, got over 20 responses in less than a day of listing it.
