Pre order from radioshack update

im okay with what theyre doing. they accepted my money without actually having the stock, or knowing for sure theyd have the stock. they ended up not having it, now im waiting for them to refund the money they accepted for some reason. once its returned, im just going to order elsewhere, and that will conclude my business with rs.com. for good. it doesnt seem like a great business model to keep customers, but thats their thing. was my fault for venturing out of my list of trusted sites lol. i typically only order electronics from amazon or newegg, though vmu.com will be fine. i just wish they didnt wait til like the afternoon to actually make the phone available. why was it sitting there saying available 5/31, for basically all day 5/31?

I WILL NEVER shop with Radio Shack either. This experience has definitely shown how poor of a business model that they have. Too bad one of the execs at Radio Shack doesn't frequent this forum, maybe they'd learn something about keeping their customers. Pretty funny that people have managed to find them in B&M RSs too... way to fill your preorders. Maybe someone needs to explain the concept of a preorder to them.
 
Forgive me everyone if it seemed like I was attacking anyone. I'm actually in tears over what I've been told.

I cannot cancel my order. It won't get to me until approximately the 10th. I pre-ordered all the way back on the 22nd. I'm very discouraged with the treatment I've received from Radio Shack. This has been such a horrific experience....

Mine still says located in stock :/ We should get store credit or free shipping for this but then again the TOS pretty much says they can do what every they like as long as we get the phone.
 
First customs did not get this phone. Y i say this is my radioshack got 4 in today so i cancelled preorder and bought 1. It has the sprint branding with vm software so the phones were already here. Second i will no longer shop at radioshack. They basically broke the agreements by not shipping the phones as promised. Boycott the shack! Btw the phone is sweet. Super fast :-)
 
This is disappointing, call my store in San Diego, they have not heard of the VM Evo. Guess my pre-order ship to store will be 6/10.

Those phones with the Sprint logo are probably the Evo 3D that Sprint stores sent back after they discontinued it. They probably just slapped the new software on them and sent it back out.

Ones that got (possibly) held at customs are probably brand new ones from Korea.

That's probably it, I was confused because VM always made sure their branding was on their phones and it all makes sense now

After a long conversation on the phone, supposedly my phone is allocated and scheduled to ship Monday [no confirmation tho, of course] Lady said that ALL orders from May 31st got cancelled? And most preorders are allocated, ready to ship.

It's not true. I had someone already get theirs in my area. They ordered on the 31st at around 9PM Eastern Time. Trust me, I was mortified.

They really did a rather bang up job of honoring the pre-orders.

Mine is due to ship on Monday too according to them. I'll get it before the 9th.
So basically, Over a week from now... *Sighs a little*

How did you find out yours was to ship out Monday? I just looked on my radioshack account still saying "items located in stock." This will be last time I ever order or buy anything from RadioShack as they did a p@$@ poor job on how they expedite orders. Seems like you and I are in the same boat sort of ordered mine on the 24th during this first round of preorders.

Call the 1-800 number. They will say that yours is allocated [meaning boxed up ready to ship on Monday]. I said for sure? She said it you should receive a confirmation on Monday. I ordered mine on the 22nd. She put me on hold, said she had to read an email about it... came back and said a lot of false info regarding orders from May 31 being shipped out overnight is being spread across various message boards. [I never mentioned msg boards] She said she personally knows that ALL ORDERS except preorders were cancelled. Such BS. She said they did not receive their stock in time to properly fill orders by their target date. She also said they may ship from TX or KY.

Basically I have no REAL idea if it will actually ship Monday. Why would my order be sitting there boxed up ready to go for two full days? Maybe they need some more warehouse workers. LOL

Personally I think every one with the in stock status should call and bother/waste their time. [I know I have]

Another said it wouldn't ship until today. Then another person said my order was about to be cancelled. Another person couldn't even tell me what was going on at all. Then finally the 5th time a guy said it'll ship Monday.

What's the truth? I don't know anymore. I am confused and just about taxed out on this whole thing.

I made about 5 calls too... actually talked to the same guy twice. Sent an email too. Don't really think anybody has any idea. I'll only be content after I receive a shipping confirmation.

Everybody in this situation should call tho... bother the hell out of them for answers.
 
I called them this afternoon to see why they canceled my order and they claimed it was a "data error" which I didn't believe at all but they offered me an appeasement to reorder the phone. But meanwhile 5 hours later there is still nothing from RS in my inbox.
 
Honestly I don't even think Radio Shack has any idea what Radio Shack is doing. They are beyond lost and being totally unorganized at this point. They've handled this matter in the most insufficient and disorganized way possible.

I really shouldn't let myself get too upset though, I'm not alone in this. A lot of us here are feeling very jilted.

I can't wait until all of us have our phones...
 
Anyone here a lawyer and want to make some money. If so we should make them give us something or someone should sue them (just for those who pre order). Think of it as a wake up call to RS.
 
I am in the same pre-order boat as most people and I am furious at it all. The fact the people who ordered overnight shipping on the 31st got the phones way before pre-orders upsets me deeply.

I agree with the boycott, I'm never ordering anything on rs.com ever again. I may just call them and let them know that they lost many customers with this issue.

I somewhat agree i think they were in a bind and took some of the sprint phones they allready had and reflashed them with vm software and shipped them out to the overnighters lol they may not be so happy they paid overnight shipping later when everyone else finally gets theirs and it is the real deal and theirs is some reflashed sprint evo phone. I dunno if it really matters anyway but still kinda funny if they did.

Also i talked to RS manager today and she still said it isn't even listed in her system yet to order even today so she won't be getting any in until they are added to the system for her to order they don't just ship em out to stores enless they put in a order for them ( non preorders anyway ) for you to just walk in and buy one. And best buy said at the earliest they won't have any until the 10th.
 
I am in the same boat, preordered the first day. Has said item located for the past 2 days,I also paid for 2nd day shipped to my home. At the very least they will be refunding my shiping costs. Onto other thoughts, nowhere have I seen that any Evo's were being held up at customs. All the phones that I have read about are Htc One LTE series, being held up because of Crapples ongoing IP lawsuit against the world. And I've just read that the ITC has allowed customs to clear all Htc phones into the US. So that's a moot point.

Ditto. Ordered the 22nd, got pooped on by RS. I dont know if you read my post on the other thread that agentc13 just closed but They said over the phone that "I can cancel my order as long as the status doesn't say "Shipped"" so I feel like they cheated you a bit...
 
By the way, I feel for you folks, it stinks to be in this position. I only locked some threads to make sure that we weren't having the same discussion in 3-4 different places.

I have a feeling that even if the Evo V phones were not held up in customs themselves, that HTC didn't ship them to get caught with all the other ones that were held. Probably causing much of the delay we see here. Or they could have been held up for all we know (this phone isn't a big newsmaker like the Evo 4g LTE or One X, so they may have skipped over reporting that it was included).

Everyone will get there phones eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later. ;)

Feel free to post about your experiences with this, but remember that the CSRs aren't the ones responsible for the mess, and they usually don't know more than you do about what is happening, they just get stuck with the job that gets the brunt of all this. :(
 
Update just got a email that it has been shipped, now I have to wait even longer thanks to RS. Wow im going to get my phone 4 days before it comes out at the store. Nice job RS, but you lost my next preorder.
