I'm kind of condering about the aps that comes on the Captivate from AT&T. Are there any that will ring up additional charges to us? For instance, I thought that the AT&T navigator was an addon. Will it (or anything else) cost money if I haven't subscribed to the service?

No, they won't unless you open and use them.

As long as you don't use them, you're safe. All the ones I went into made it clear at the beginning that there'd be charges if I continued.

To be safe, you can hide them with LauncherPro, or deactivate them with Titanium Backup. See the Captivate FAQ:

That was my main concern....opening something to see what it did and getting stuck with charge. Is there a way to find out which ones that would be so I coluld just hid them?
