Help Predictive Text in Wrong language

My HTC Desire C seems to have started coming up with predictive text in French! I have checked the language settings and they are definitely in English. What am I doing/have I done perhaps?

Check which language the keyboard is set to. That's usually separate from the phone's language settings. (It depends on the keyboard you're using.)

OK, checked that and it was set already to "System language English (United Kingdom).

So, wondering what else it could be?
