Help Preparation for possible ICS OTA

Just in case I really do get an ICS update soon for my Rezound, I synced all my Facebook contacts now, since I hear ICS doesn't allow it.

Question is, without rooting, is there a way to backup Facebook contacts, so they won't be erased by an OTA update?

I linked the existing ones, synced everything, including Facebook, Google, and backup assistant. Any ideas?

Why wouldn't ICS allow syncing of contracts? Can't think of any reason it wouldn't.....although I have been known to have been wrong before....once or twice.....lol.

I know loading the "offical" leaked ICS DID sync all my contacts.Even FB

I dont think this will be an issue with OTA update

Same here. I can't speak for AOSP ICS, but the HTC leak does it without a problem.

Well maybe that was only on the Gnex.

It's not just a nexus problem a few UI's will not sync Facebook contacts, either. Luckily HTC Sense is not one of them.

Sense will probably have this baked in.


Stock AOSP ICS does not have it baked in. Which is why the Nexus doesn't do it. Honestly. I haven't missed it one bit. However i know some people like it.
