Anyway, Party allegiance doesn't matter, as Mr Trump has declared he wants to bring America together for all Americans. And make it great again.... *

My hope President Elect Trump will keep his promise that he will be President for All Americans. President Obama administration has been demonizing the Republicans and the Americans that did not agree with his sight of how American should be and NEVER pivoted from his one view. This made America not a melting pot but a stew which each piece is separate. My hope we will be American not HA, AA, IA, AsiaA, etc., just American work for a common goal.

Well said. [emoji41]

I too think that his unique political position, not slavishly married to either party, could do very well for all us forgottens.

...emphasis on could.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, would make me happier than for this to be the way it plays out. I'm skeptical based on DTs words, actions, and administration picks that this will be the case, but I would love to be proven wrong.....

Trump is surrounded by enemies...

President-elect Donald Trump’s race to enact the biggest tax cuts since the 1980s went under a caution flag Monday as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell warned he considers current levels of U.S. debt “dangerous” and said he wants any tax overhaul to avoid adding to the deficit.

“I think this level of national debt is dangerous and unacceptable,” McConnell said, adding he hopes Congress doesn’t lose sight of that when it acts next year. “My preference on tax reform is that it be revenue neutral,” he said.

Sore loser Obama turns to Russian hacking to delegitimize Trump's triumph

Make no mistake: it’s payback time. In ordering up a “deep dive” into possible Russian interference in the election of Donald Trump, sore loser Barack Obama wants to delegitimize the real estate magnate’s win. His motive? Punishing Trump for the years the mogul spent publicly questioning whether Obama was an American citizen, which cast doubts on the legitimacy of his presidency. Ah, how sweet the revenge. And how pitiful.

President Obama has searched high and, increasingly, low, for the reasons he and Hillary Clinton lost the election. He has blamed Fox News, insufficient grass-roots campaigning by Hillary, “fake news”, and now has singled out Russian meddling for the loss of 194 of 207 counties that voted for him in either 2008 or 2012.

After talking with Trump, Bill Gates likens president-elect to JFK

President-elect Donald Trump has an opportunity to establish "American leadership through innovation," Bill Gates told CNBC on Tuesday.

"A lot of his message has been about ... where he sees things not as good as he'd like," the billionaire Microsoft co-founder said on "Squawk Box."

"But in the same way President Kennedy talked about the space mission and got the country behind that," Gates continued, "I think whether it's education or stopping epidemics ... [or] in this energy space, there can be a very upbeat message that [Trump's] administration [is] going to organize things, get rid of regulatory barriers, and have American leadership through innovation."

Didn't you hear.. facts don't matter... or if they get in the way of the truth you can just replace them with brand new facts...

According to my Newspeak dictionary, America is going to be doubleplusgood again.

I liked your original post better.

Sorry about that.... The mobile web messed up the formatting... so removed the image and put a link to it......

Newspeak is so 20th century. Pre-conflicts I believe. Orwin or somebody? Talented author I'll agree, but a bit of a flash in the pan. Two great books.

Lol...

Who'd have thought that we'd end up in a society where the media retrospectively has to edit what our leaders say, to make sure they didn't mispeak... and old reports just slip into the memory hole.

"The program of the Two Minutes Hate varied from day to day, but there was none in which Goldstein was not the principal figure. He was the primal traitor, the earliest defiler of the Party's purity. All subsequent crimes against the Party, all treacheries, acts of sabotage, heresies, deviations, sprang directly out of his teaching"

The Perfect Weapon: How Russian Cyberpower Invaded the U.S.

An examination by The Times of the Russian operation — based on interviews with dozens of players targeted in the attack, intelligence officials who investigated it and Obama administration officials who deliberated over the best response — reveals a series of missed signals, slow responses and a continuing underestimation of the seriousness of the cyberattack.

The D.N.C.’s fumbling encounter with the F.B.I. meant the best chance to halt the Russian intrusion was lost. The failure to grasp the scope of the attacks undercut efforts to minimize their impact. And the White House’s reluctance to respond forcefully meant the Russians have not paid a heavy price for their actions, a decision that could prove critical in deterring future cyberattacks.

Read it, I think you'd like it

(If you're looking for a companion piece after that, try Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.... )

Still.. Fiction. Our Dem. govt just doesn't wanna be seeming to have been leaked by their own whistleblowers because they would look even more guilty of treasons and such.. So they just blame the Russians to deflect from their own guilt. Str8 up. As an American myself, our govt is extremely corrupted and this election has helped bring out all they ugliness and exposure of such BS. The guilty DO like to point fingers in general.. Psychology stuff and all.
