^^^^ Psionandy... why do we keep tryin to explain the concept of .. facts and reasoning.. to these drumpf supporters?

they use facts and when it helps them... then ignore the same facts with it does not.
then add in "alternate facts" as needed...
so there!

Dan... Hold that thought.

I have an answer for you, Although I don't think it's the answer that you are a) expecting or b) want to hear.

I do promise that it is going to be a bit self indulgent, and possibly not that interesting...

It's also something that I'm going to have to use a proper keyboard for... So I'll get back to you later on that one....

Which leftists are you talking to?

Mr Trump made good cyber security part of his campaign... His mandate is based on it... Many people were swayed by his position that bad security was a threat to America... Some of them even made that argument here on this forum.

So, the argument that someone did things worse in the past can't be a reason for not doing things better now.

And you say nothing about what hillary did which was much worse, and there was security breaches on her server. Like I said if Trump isn't using it for official use, there's no problem. I don't use my government issued phone for personal use nor do I use my personal phone for government use.

I use a government issued Samsung through the week, and a company issued LG at my part time job and have never had any security issues nor ever heard of them on the platforms in government and enterprise use.

However, you probably aren't being deliberately targeted... (and if you are, then you wouldn't know about it if it was done properly)

and (I'm guessing) you don't work for the part of the Government or Security Services that is actively developing them to attack/defend against criminals or hostile governments...

to take a link at random to illustrate the point.

It would be a very strange world where what the President of the United States was doing in his 'downtime' wouldn't be of interest to other nations.

Should he have access to UK's information? Hell no, he doesn't run the UK.. (Why does he even get that info anyway?) [emoji41]

US President Donald Trump may have undermined a critical data sharing agreement between the United States and Europe that internet giants rely on to do business overseas.

In an executive order focused on illegal immigrants that was signed by the president this week, one section specifically noted that privacy protections would not be extended past US citizens or permanent residents in America.
Section 14 of the Enhancing Public Safety order reads:

Agencies shall, to the extent consistent with applicable law, ensure that their privacy policies exclude persons who are not United States citizens or lawful permanent residents from the protections of the Privacy Act regarding personally identifiable information.
That language appears to directly contradict a critical component of the new Privacy Shield agreement between the US and Europe that provides essential legal protections for US businesses sending and receiving data across the Atlantic. Essentially, non-Americans aren't supposed to be treated as second-class citizens by US organizations, with weaker privacy safeguards than Americans are afforded.

Surprise! Trump doing what he said he would

In his first frantic week at the White House, Donald Trump is doing almost exactly what he promised to do during his campaign, stunning those who thought he'd adapt his style as president.

Trump has signed an executive order to begin building a wall on the Mexican border and doubled down on his promise to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement and repeal ObamaCare.

Actions to temporarily suspend visas for people coming to the United States from a number of Muslim nations are expected to come soon.

Trump hasn't stopped tweeting either, nor has he quit his habit of launching into new fights seemingly on a whim. Much of his first week in office has been dominated by his claims, without any evidence, that massive voter fraud cost him a popular vote victory to Hillary Clinton.

^^ This one ^^ has me scratching my head a bit..

On another note about the Russian hacking everyone is trying to be offended about, not only did Obama himself previously say (on his way out the door) that there wasn't any proof of the Russian's work:

Trump’s Yuge Week One

President Donald Trump’s first seven days in office were historic, chaotic, often astonishing and sometimes unsettling. With a flurry of provocative executive orders, surreal events, unapologetic falsehoods and did-he-really-say-that tweets, Trump continued to obliterate political norms, serving notice that the gaze of history won’t change who he is. He made so much news and did so many unorthodox things that it was hard to keep track of everything that was changing in Washington. The question, though, is what did all that sound and fury signify?
...interesting stuff

Here's a start.. http://www.usapoliticstoday.com/rand-paul-obamacare-replacement/

Swamp: An entire senior branch of officials fired..

Muslims: Check yourself & read some of their Qur'an. Their doctrines and ideology insist on rape, murder & destruction of everything that is & isn't theirs.

Can you please provide evidence to substantiate that statement?

And also the Bible has some very judgemental things to say.

Plus most religious texts are open to interpretation.

Yes Sir! I checked these as well, there are several repeats of reference for nearly each one in their Qur'an.

You know, there are equally violent Bible quotes that I could trawl up from the Internet if I could be bothered. So does that mean that Christians are a bunch of violent terrorists, hell bent on destruction of all other religions?

Without wishing to turn this into a religious debate, the message I get is that the overwhelming majority of Muslims are peaceful people, who bear no hatred or wish for violence towards others. But as with all religions, they can be subverted, and used to justify violent actions by radical terrorists. These are a very small minority though. You cannot tar a whole religious community with the same brush.

That is all I have to say on this subject.

THIS IS A THREAD ABOUT PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP

if you want to discuss that aspect of Christianity start another thread, and anyone who is interested can do it over there....

If we could try and keep on topic that would be great....

SO... one for the American's reading this....
Our Prime Minister met with Mr Trump this week... but It was a very busy time with lots of other things happening and lots of other announcements were made. So my questions are, Did anyone notice? What do you think of her? Do you expect anything to come of this?
