Hello all,
Ok, so i have searched thru the forums (btw, cool feature that it shows you similar threads before posting on here to make sure i didnt miss anything) and i couldn't find anything on this for the prevail. i found similar problems for other phones and tried their suggestions (checking APN settings, i couldn't add an APN tho).
I am trying to send pic messages (MMS) thru the stock messaging app that came with the prevail. I had no problems sending before and today it has stopped working. The only changes that i have made was that i rooted my phone last night. i'm not saying thats what caused it but thats the only thing that i've "messed" with on the phone between now and the last time i was able to send a pic msg. i removed bloatware (think office, telenav, twitter crap, poynt, scavenger, youtube). I used titanium backup to remove them.
At first, from reading other threads, i thought the problem was that i was using the wifi and i had 3G off. i read somewhere on here that even tho you have wifi the MMS pic mail must go thru 3G. so i turned it back on and even reset and no dice. I tried regular texts and they go thru just fine.
i also tried Whatsapp and i was able to send pic mail no prob thru that one. The problem is that not everyone i know has whatsapp. plus whatsapp might be sending them a diff way than the stock msg app.
I thought it may be a memory issue (that was the reason i rooted, so i could make some room) but after deleting alot of message threads and pics within the messaging app, i still am unable to send pics.
Any ideas? let me know what info you need and i'll get that to you.
