Help Prevent a rejected call from going to voicemail

Any calls that are rejected go directly to the voicemail. Are there any settings to change this? I know that a text can be sent when a call is rejected - but the call still goes to the voicemail.
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

You would need to have verizon block the number, pretty sure you can do it from your account online.

Sorry, I am not sure which number I should block. What I require is that, as a general setting, if I reject any call, it should not go to voicemail.

Not possible with a setting on the phone. Have to call verizon for things like that.

You could do this using Tasker. It's not a free app, however it can do this and more. You would program it for when the phone is ringing it would pop up a window asking if you want to reject this call or answer it. If you tap reject then it would do this by quickly answering and hanging up the phone, thus (because it was answered) it wouldn't go to voicemail.

You can download a Call Filter app like this one. You can choose to either send the calls to voicemail or it will just hang up on the caller.
