Root Prevent the upcoming Market Update?

I am now running the Black Market 2.3.6

Is there a way to prevent the upcoming market update? I have no interest in the changes they will be making and do not want to loose my current market.

Yes, rename the MarketUpdater.apk to MarketUpdater.bak in system/app through root explorer. Reboot your phone after the renaming just to make sure it takes effect.

I just like to use TiBu first because it's a little easier than goin in and renaming files. I will rename if I have to but if TiBu will do the job in seconds then i'm game. Call me lazy....lol

I'd rather rename the .apk file, there have been times where "freezing" an app with TiBu didn't keep it from running for me.

Yeah I know. That's why I said I will rename if I have to cause I know TiBu doesn't always work. Root explorer is a much needed app and everyone should get it even if they don't think they will use it cause sooner or later they will.

Root Explorer is definitely a must have app.

If you don't want to purchase Root Explorer, you can use ES File Explorer; it does essentially the same thing and it's free.
