“Here in Tangipahoa Parish I just witnessed a voting machine that they had to turn off and call the commissioner in because when it was powered it on this morning and already had votes on the machine for the Democratic Party.”

- “I am posting the video to show that this is accurate information and I would say this is going to be the norm,” Allen wrote on Facebook. “I overheard the commissioner who was here so this was the fifth location he had go to this morning to correct this…….”

I am not affiliated with any political party, so this isn't about that. It's not even really about one candidate over another. Maybe the next four years will turn out better than I fear; I cling to that hope.

But this election, and its result, has let a Genie out of the bottle which impacts far more than just this election cycle: Trump's campaign highlighted hateful, shallow, closed-minded, xenophobic, dumbed-down-and-proud-of-it values which I cannot support at any level. I am ashamed to see those views validated.

On a more personal and practical note, buh-bye health insurance.

I'm genuinely shocked at the tone of this campaign. I'm sure the American elections didn't used to be like this. Wasn't it more civilised in the past?
I can't recall so many insults and personal attacks between candidates, and I'm also shocked that the general public accept this kind of behaviour.

Just a question for you, but do you think following this dismal defeat of the nominated Democratic candidate, that anyone will look at how the selection process went so wrong, and look to possibly change it?

Thanks, Jeff, for demonstrating why everybody around the world thinks that Trump supporters are insensitive assholes. #exhibitA

I (kind of) knew it would happen, I said it would happen, and it happened. If that makes me an 'asshole,' I don't really care.

Nope. You missed my point entirely.

To spell it out, gloating because a candidate who more than half the US did not vote for and many find highly offensive, who actively promotes racisim, misogony, and xenophobia, who has pissed off just about every country around the world with his stupid comments on international policy, and who (despite his campaign promises) is beyond unlikely to do anything for the disenfranchised electorate who voted for him... is being an asshole.

At least give people a chance to catch their breath before dancing around your conspiracy-theory bonfire cackling with glee.

Watch Hillary Clinton’s Concession Speech Live

“Well folks, I know we’ve been here a long time and I know it’s been a long night and I know it’s been a long campaign. But I know we can wait a little longer,” he told the crowd assembled at around 2am. “We will have more to say tomorrow.”

Within the hour, Clinton called Trump to concede her defeat.

Republican president
REpublican-held House and Senate.

Nothing's going to happen, since the system is what got them elected. Trump lost the popular vote; it's only the crazy election system which put him in office.

Look, they're talking about someone like you!

Hillary Supporters Burn American Flag, Riot, Threaten to Kill Trump After Losing Election

Rioting hit the streets of Portland and Oakland as Hillary Clinton supporters reacted badly to Donald Trump’s election victory, while death threats against the new president-elect flooded social media.

Windows were broken and cars were set on fire in Oakland as irate protesters lit flares and blocked freeways.

Everything will be alright. Better than alright.

Not if Trump's campaign statements are true. I don't want an America that kicks out brown people and thinks that sexual assault is funny. I don't want an America that thinks jailing political opponents is cool even to suggest hyperbolically. I don't want an America that is only profit-driven, and thinks that the only value anything has is financial. If that's what you want, you've got it, but to me that's not a prophecy of greatness, but the fall of the empire.
