That gets you 20% off any order of $500 or more, bringing the phone down to $539. Since last year's Galaxy S is still selling for a healthy $489, and resale of both phones on Ebay seems sky high, I wouldn't hold out for a price drop. Either pounce on it with no regrets, or wait for the SGS3 (or other phone you have your eyes on).

It already dropped. As for it dropping further, probably only with the release of SGS3 or just before that. There would be some offers along the way, say holiday offers, credit card offers etc.
The IP4s won't cause it to drop since its a lot more expensive than SGS2 anyway. Like Medion said, either get SGS2 or just wait for next years top phones which should include SGS3.

Price dropped this week on Vodafone AU, it's now 'free' on $29 plan for 2 years (just under $696 total), and not limited to a online deals, but you have to sign up to a $4/month 700mb data pack for 12 months too, bringing the total to $744, not bad at all.
Surely price dropping will spread elsewhere over the coming weeks.

Getting a deal with your carrier is not an option for the International unit in the USA.
Like others said the price has dropped some but it will not go much more down till after Christmas and the SG3 comes out. The SG2 is THE hot seller for Samsung!
