Pricing and release date rumours

When I upgrade I'm considering selling my Desire and putting the money toward buying my next phone outright and picking up a good sim only deal.

I'm tired of being tied to a contract and a fixed price plan. I realise smart phones are expensive but a two year deal is madness when new phones are released every few months. In two years time the Sensation will have been replaced 3 times by HTC with who knows what amazing features. Not to mention new versions of Android.

I really hate the fact that as soon as you buy a handset, a better one has just been announced!

Who own a galaxy s, say never again, cheap, yes,,, but it feels it, fast,,, not as fast as the
Desire or desire hd, the UI is crap,etc,,, they all want you upgrade to htc,, as for the price
Of the sensation,, it can be had for less than 500, that will soon drop,
I was torn between the sensation and the Evo3d,, but what is the point of taking 3d photos
or video if you haven't got a3d tv or computer,, so for me it's the sensation,,,,,
 
Everyone knows the Sensation arrives in June sim-free but no one yet knows price and/or release date. Well i've been doing some digging and just discovered this.

i don't get it - why don't htc just tell their retailers when it'll be arriving?

i mean we're days from the first exclusive launch; surely they know when the exclusivity ends and others can start selling the damn thing (and for how much)
 
Handtec release date - 27th June (changed from 8th June)
Clove UK release date - 27th June
KingofGadgets - 20th June
Amazon UK - 15th June
Play - no info.
Expansys - no info.

Seems like end of June is when the rest of us will get our hands on the sim-free model.
 
Amazon UK have just changed the release date from 15th June to 29th June, the same as all the other retailers. Looks like no one will be able to get the sim-free version in the UK until the end of the month! :(

Damn you Vodafone and your exclusivity!
 
Handtec have brought their release date forward for sim-free HTC Sensation. Release date is now 20th June and they've lowered the price too! It's now
 
Just spoke to my local Carphone Warehouse who told me they've just received an email stating they'll be taking stock of the HTC Sensation on 20th June. Only 2 weeks to go!

Funnily enough the guy had no idea Vodafone had exclusivity on the phone until i told him! He went on their website to check! Lol.
 
Carphone Warehouse have confirmed on their website they'll have the HTC Sensation available from next Monday, 20th June!
