Its 449 @ Target. Sometimes you can catch a deal online for much cheaper but by time you see it and figure it out its more then likely sold out. They sell quickly. 449 is normal. Anything more then that run away!
 
If you think you might want the extra storage, Costco has the 32 gig version in stock for $479.00 ... and they throw in a basic kickstand-type case, as well.

Thanks for the update so fast. Wife and I were on our way to costco and you mentioned that! WHAT A DEAL.. Bought it and now returning the target one... Owe you one! :P

Glad it worked out! I just got mine at Costco today, myself ... sold the old Viewsonic on Craigslist. :)
 
Oh Wow!!!!

At Costco 32GB I've looked it up online it said $489.00 I might return mine at Walmart I pursed it on 6/11/11 will they let me return it?

I want to goto Costco get this Version where it's 32GB Version model more space the better.....

I want to mention that the case is INSIDE the box. Its an acer case looks like this: Acer Iconia Tab A500 Protective Case

That is the EXACT CASE... Also notice when you get the 32GB one here at Costco you get HDMI cables too. That was a plus for me since I watch A LOT of movies.

Either way lots of thanks to PIT. Made a happier father on fathers day. (wife not too happy but who cares right?)

WOW.. The one i got received usb cable, case, power supply, booklets and a mini HDMI cable.

What a bummer if yours did not....

I spent 2 weeks trying to find a way to get a decent discount from the $450 price then someone on fatwallet.com posted a deal at MacMall's eBay store for $380. I paid for it on the spot, free shipping, no tax, 2 days to deliver. I feel lucky now but I suspect that these will be at $300 by Black Friday. Allow at least another $100 for a case, bluetooth keyboard, screen protector, microSD card, HDMI cable, stylus...
 
For those of you who bought the 32GB model at Costco for $479 ... note that Costco's now lowered the price to $429, and if you paid the higher price they'll happily refund you the difference.

I just took my receipt for the tab to the Costco customer service desk today, and they readily matched the current price, giving me $50 cash!
 
if anyone is interested, staples carries the 16 gb for $399 and you can get a $100 off coupon online. they said they'll accept that. so $299 is a good deal. just can't get netflix still. coupon good till 7-30-11
 
I just got mine for my wife yesterday at Staples using the coupon. Could not pass up the great deal. The 100 coupon is for most of the tablets. Thought about the Dell Streak for 199 but decided on the Acer after all.
 
I just picked up the Acer at Staples yesterday... $299 after the $100 off coupon. I downloaded Netflix from a link posted on Phandroid and worked fine.

$299 seems like a steal for this tablet! I am happy so far. Upgraded to 3.1 out of the box.
 
Thanks for the input Alyianna. I was a bit impulsive at lunch and ordered mine from Staples. They were sold out in the store, but agreed to have it shipped to my home tomorrow. A night of delay to download download and research. I was a little worried about the whole Netflix thing. The Viewsonic Gtablet is marked down to $259 via Amazon which is certainly less than the Acer Iconic which came up to $324 after taxes, but the Iconic has a better screen and more and better DDR. OTOH it seems the Gtablet has better support on XDA. I went with the better hardware :-)

As a former owner of a gTab who sold it to buy an Iconia, I can tell you that you definitely made the right decision. :)
