Help Printer problem

Hi. I have a Canon MG4250 printer which I use with my Nexus7, 2013 model. The printer is excellent and I only have one problem with it and that is I can't get it to print in black and white. Colour printing, yes, photocopying in b&w and colour, yes, printing b&w, NO! Even after selecting the b&w option on the tablet the printer still prints the page in colour. Am I missing something or is it a problem between tablet and printer? This is my first tablet, a retirement present, so any thoughts from you experts out there would be much appreciated. thanks.

Can you print a color picture on your computer in black and white on that printer? I suspect you may have to install a "second printer" (the same one installed again) and set up to print in monochrome only.

Do you have to printer drivers installed on the tablet

Go into the Google market and download the printer drivers

Hi guys, thanks for your replies yesterday. Have now installed suitable printer drivers and all is now good.
