Help Printing from Galaxy Note 10.1

Hi,

I am trying to print via wireless connection from my Kodak ESP315C printer.

I installed the app PrinterShare which can detect the printer but then reports that no driver has been found for the printer.

I can't find a driver so presume that this direct route is not possible. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Would the premium version of PrinterShare help? I don't mind paying for it if it works but woould rather not buy it and then find it doesn't help.

I have read that HP have an app that supports their printers but given Kodak went into administration am not expecting a similar app for their printers.

Thanks,

J

I did a quick search for a driver for that printer and came up with this:

Kodak ESP C315 Printer Driver Download

I've no idea if that is a good site (ie virus free), or if the driver will do what you want. My search results also showed up a few hits that suggested other people were having similar problems.

Are you able to print, wirelessly, from a PC (ie is this just a problem from your tab)?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I can print wirelessly from my PC which runs XP and has the driver installed.

I presumed that I woould need an android specific driver or some kind of app to be able to use my kodak printer.

Cheers,

J

You just need one of many printing apps from the Play Store. Just do a search.

I find Google play listing Print Share as a free program when i's really a Russian trick, to get someone to download it and then they find out if they wish to use it they need the Key. The key being their $12.95US priced program. I find it a Russian back door trick to make people think it's free when it's not. Google should remove the free Print Share program it's not anything free except the downloading.

I have tried the Kodak app and still can not print to the Kodak ESP EC315. Anyone have other suggestions?

I have to say I love PrintShare....well worth the $12.95 "backdoor"! Although.....I actually didn't pay for it, I got it for FREE as an amazon app of the day :D

It works without issue tough. Pay the man!

The free printershare should print a test page. Download it and see if it finds your printer. Make sure your printer is on.

Is the printer itself wireless or is it connected to your network via cable and your tablet connects to your network through wireless router?

I use printershare and have used it at other people's houses on 3 different kinds of printers with no problems. It has found them each time. I don't particularly like how the software works, but it does print. I don't know what Samsung was thinking. Love everything about my tablet except the printing feature.
