It took me about 2min before it updated. Just let it sit there.

You shouldn't have to do that. Just press back a few times and it should cancel out the process. Update it at night when you don't need to use the phone and just let it sit and try and update.

I (sort of) understand a little about PRL and PRI..
But should I update it?

I guess im just a little scared of updating things because the day after I updated to froyo i realized the mistake i had made now being unable to root lol.
So..safe to update..?

Just manually updated to 60670 1.40_003

It's because your rooted.(edit: And on a custom ROM) You need to follow this method:
1: Nandroid backup
2: phone ##786# Hit Menu - Reset (msl required)
3: phone reboots into recovery
4: Wipe Dalvik-Cache, Wipe Cache - Factory Reset (some have reported not even having to do this)
5: Reboot phone. Phone should show updated PRI version. If this doesnt work the first time try again.

Ps. After step 2, you must manually put into recovery. Then proceed to step 4. Took the steps from xda, worked for me.

Ya, was getting frustrated with the forum. It kept putting all my typing in lower case when starting the line with all caps.
