Root PRL Swap

I am using windows 7 ultimate 64-bit and the prl opens fine. wonder if you have a bad download of the file.

The issue is not any of the downloaded PRL files.

The issue seems to be with the RL Editor itself, because the program crashes before I even select a file. It crashes immediately upon clicking on the Open icon or clicking on File>Open from from the main menu. So, there is something wrong with either the installation of QPST or my PC itself. I have tried reinstalling QPST, unfortunately that didn't fix this problem.

Are you guys saying that you changed the PRL on the LG Optimus Elite? If so, I assume it is the same process as the Optimus V once you have the MSL, correct?

Thanks,
Chris

Can someone detail how they did it? I have my MSL by calling and tested it out with ##DATA#

Can you turn on the com port from being within the regular OS? Android Debugging only turns on ADB Interface in device manager on my computer.

I however cant find a way to get a com port other than the "download mode" by holding in vol up and down when plugging in a USB cable. And that mode doesn't let you do anything with qpst. I did PRL swap with my optimus V back in the day but that was with a working recovery booted that gave me a com port.

need to be in ##DIAG# mode not data.
Enter MSL and enable DIAG

Much appreciated, now i'm on 21087 :)

Hopefully it fixed my radio from bouncing around constantly and killing the battery at both home and work.

Changed my prl to 60687 and seen a good improvement
at my home. Before I had 1 bar or less. When I had a sprint phone I could walk to one end of my house and would rom on a vwz tower. Now my vm phone gets 2 or 3 bars! Thanks for the suggestion.:D

i have swaped my prl and my speefd goes to 1000 kb and then it goes to 14 im on prl 61085 ehat is the best prl there is out there for speed an better connection

I've noticed a difference, more stable 3g/bars, I'll have to wait and see next month when I'm not throttled on my data, I usually get 180 kbs...so I'd like to see what've can get now

It really depends where you are. Most users report not much discernible difference between them. I've found that 22081 is an improvement over the default 61007 here in the midwest. Not as much as I was crossing my fingers for, however.
whats the best prl?
