You need to be in diagnostic mode or bootloader (USB fastboot) in order for QPST to see the phone. If you can't see the phone, you can;t update the prl through qpst.

Not sure what you mean about changes carrying over.

Gotcha, thanks. On the carrying over, I meant the prl sticking from Rom to rom. Audio tweaks via qpst don't stick but I assume this will.

Yeah, for some reason we are given an error when flashing it, even though it takes.

I freaked out when QPST gave the error when flashing it. Coverage doesn't seem to be much better here but the Sprint coverage in general here isn't good so I wasn't expecting a lot. I'll be looking into doing the s-off so I can hopefully do more with a hboot downgrade.

My office phone signal issues are well documented around here (I get 0 signal). Anyway, I am waiting to hear from some of my students that have sprint and can get signal inside to see what all of their settings are and then I might look into that setup. Another question: since we have moved to Sprint PRL's etc would the airrave now work on these phones?

Since I swapped my prl my phone shows I have service but I can't make or receive any calls or text. How do I fix this?

Sprint customers can roam on Verizon's network. There may not be Sprint towers where you work.

Just follow the directions and just Google qpst 2.7 build 366 its not hard once you actually start doing it (like rooting this phone)
