Pro Android Gamer

IndieDB.com is a good way to get your game exposed. They have like 3-4 sites. We have a profile up on there for Orbital Blaster, search for it and you'll see what I mean. But within a week of my game being up there we got almost 1000 visitors to our website and some decent exposure to our game.

Agree with @XplosiV, for sure post in as many forums about it as you can. Not all forums have the link restrictions so you can post a nice bit of info on your game in several forums. This is also what I'm doing with Orbital Blaster.

We also have a Kickstarter page going, however I would not adivse using that as a means of advertising your product but it has gotten us some decent amount of exposure.

Lastly, try to get your social media in order. You might even want to consider holding off on the release of your game for a few more months to gain popularity.. Get on Facebook (Fan Page), get on twitter.. and start getting some hype for your game going.. get liked and get followed. Then when you have a few hundred followers or more, then release the game and hope they spread the word about it.

My 2 cents, hope it helps.

ps. @Slug .. Funny!

Google doing away with the "Just In" category was definitely a shame. It was the one good shot for indie developers to get noticed.
