Help problem adding my Gmail

After reflashing CM7 to my ascend it didn't let me add my my Gmail. This has happened to me before since I've been flashing for a while and I did a factory reset. It still gave me the same issue again. Now market keeps FC and I can't add an account through the "accounts and sync" menu. So is there any way to force my Gmail in my ascend or do I have to do factory resets until it fixes itself?

Did you install the gapps? Market wont work without it and it should activate the startup wizard.

Also try
Settings/accounts and sync/ menu button/ add account
