Help Problem adding pics to existing contact

Hi Guys.
I have this stupid problem...
I have all my contact saved on my old SIM, and when try to add a pic to existing contact, I can't click on the "camera" icon to add the pic...
Then, I read that I could do it from the "gallery" menu, selecting the pic and clicking on "set as ->contact icon"... however once I do this, it goes directly to my google accounts, rather then the phone numbers I have stored...

How do I do that??I m sure I m missing a stupid step somewhere...

Perhaps it is because the contacts are stored on the SIM, which can't store a picture.
Have you tried importing the contacts to the Phone?
Open People -> Menu -> Import/Export -> Import from SIM Card -> Phone.

That's the first thing I did when I got my Desire, and I can assign pictures to contacts OK.
