Root Problem after repairs

I replaced the lcd screen in my droid x today. It had black bleed through spots from dropping it. I followed the directions, got it all put back, and now the bottom row buttoms refuse to work. I tried putting the old screen back in and the same problem.. Any body do this repair and have this issue?

Yikes that can't be good. Sounds like android issue for the high nerd overlords overlords at XDA droidx.

Yeah, might have to try over there.. I am now accepting the fact the hard keys are broken.. I remember a boosted ics rom that had apex launcher.. it had soft keys that worked.. I installed the newest MIUI 4.04 and installed apex, but cant get the soft keys or find the setting..

The softkeys are a feature of the ROM, not the launcher. A few roms had to flash a softkey mod since they weren't cooked in. There are some softkey apps in the Play Store but I haven't tried them.

I am using zmooth and soft keys...two awesome apps I must say.. totally fixed my issue.
