Help Problem after reset re Notes

Did a reset (again) after a spot of "disappearing keyboard syndrome" (again) on Huawei Ascend Y300. All fine but notes I had on the system app Notes have all disappeared. (Not ColorNotes) Gone forever or can they be recovered? Any help gratefully accepted. Many thanks

Resetting (I assume you mean a factory reset) removes all changes you've added to the phone since you got it. (It doesn't put back anything you deleted.) You could try a file recovery program but:

1) The phone has to be rooted.
2) There are no free ones that will recover anything but pictures.
3) Rooting and installing the recovery app could overwrite the note files you're trying to recover.

Old computer axiom - any file you don't have backed up to at least 2 different devices is a file you don't need. (Cloud accounts count s devices.)
