Root [Problem] Cannot play Media/Audio

I have been on about 2-3 different ROMs now, and I have been unable to play my MP3, FLAC and MPEG files on every type of Media player.

I am currently running GummyJar and still isn't working.

It is probably an easy fix, but I havent been up to speed with rooting...

Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

Sounds like you r on old kernel running ROM based on latest. 340

I get that message on Slacker.

I have this issue too... I haven't found a fix yet..

However, another alternative is to use PowerAmp (free, in Market) to play your music.

Ohh and also PowerAMP doesn't work for me at all also. lol

I just need a newer kernel or something... What version are you running?

Have you done the .340 update?

I was behind quite a bit I guess.. lol I have now got the 2.3.32 or w.e and then upgraded to the .340 and its working flawlessly. I lost root though when doing the SBF upgrade, but that z4root apk is AAAAAAAAMAZING! And I got it back.

Super sweet. So now that you're on .340 have you redownloaded GummyJAR 2.5 and flashed it? You shouldn't have any trouble with any audio or media playing on Gummy, I certainly haven't. I have PowerAmp and MixZing and both work as well as the stock player.

I watch tv on my phone all the time.

Yeah, this ROM is just amazing. Super smooth, fast and stable now.
