Help Problem For a While...

hi im new and i got a question about the phone

when my mom bought me the phone from metropcs and i turn it on it is running slow i cant play most of the games like angry birds and slice! because my phone goes so slow. and its not only me, my mom has the same problem and a kid in school same thing. is there a way make it faster?? i would love to play cool games but it goes so damn slow

please and thanks

PS: if theres a solution tell me how to check im kinda new to this phone and i dont know a lot from it.
 
well thats your only way to having your phone fast the way you want it, and also installing another rom, you can always revert back to stock, but Good Luck!!!! And also if you run into any problems there alot of peoples including myself that are willing to help you threw the process...

ah damn i didnt know, well nvm then, i dont mess with that rooted stuff but thanks for the help
 
Take your phone back, there may be a hardware problem, or you might have installed too much, but rooting from stock will be a blessing. Rooting the ascend is the most painless thing I've done to a electronic component, it's that easy! Go to xda developers, register, look for z4root, download to phone, look in your download folder for it, open, run temp, or permanent root, uninstall bloatware( except anything google, huawei, gtalk, or messaging), and the world of android will open up to you.
 
Without rooting the phone there isn't much you can do. But here are a couple things. Turn off all services that you aren't using (wifi, gps, bluetooth). Turn off any widgets before playing.
For Angry Birds turn off the background and that will help a lot. I downloaded Angry Birds Rio and it is a lot smoother, I'm running Icarus but it should be smoother on stock too.
 
From what I've read, an unrooted Ascend isn't really an ideal phone to play games on. If the ability to play games on your phone is very important to you, and you don't want to root it, I'd see about maybe researching which Androids are made for gaming and get one of those. :)
