Help problem hearing me

Has anyone else had a problem with the person on the other end of the line not being able to hear you? I have had several people to tell me that I sound muffled when I talk. Just curious if its my phone, or if it is a design flaw with the Mic on the bottom of the phone.

Yes. Case-mate tough case. I have even punched out a bigger hole over the mic.

take it out of the case, and look at the trim piece on the phone that has the mic hole on it...is it still attached properly? Same thing happened to the wifes phone on an otter box. Had to snap the trim back down....
