hi i have a xperia u and i cant remember the screen lock pin to unlock my screen and i know there is a code starting with *#7****** but i can find it can some one help me please

I've never heard of a special code which will unlock devices like that, it sounds like a pretty gaping security hole tbh.

If you enter the unlock code incorrectly a number of times, you're prompted for your gmail account details. If you keep trying, enter your gmail account info at the prompt, you should be good to go.

Hello dodsie87. Welcome to the forums.

As El Presidente says, several unsuccessful attempts at using the pin code will prompt you to go the Google/Gmail rout to retrieve the code or begin a new one.

I'm wondering if the pin code you're using is a backup to the pattern method offered in the security menu (some users forget the pattern and need a second way to open their device), or just a straight code you enabled when setting up after activating your device.
