Help Problem Home, Menu, Back and Search keys don't work

Skeptik1

Over the last few days I have had some weird issues with my TB that I have not been able to solve. Before I do anything drastic I figured I would post on here and see if any of the TB brain trust had any ideas.

It all started a few days ago when I called my voice mail and tried to punch in my password, for some reason, the keys on the top of the keypad, 1,2,3 would not respond at all, although all the other keys still worked. I did a few reboots, even took out the battery for about 15 minutes and tried again, all to no avail. A few hours later I tried it again and everything worked fine.

Then today I noticed the exact same problem, the 1,2,3 keys on the phone keypad would not work properly, but to make matters worse, the bottom keys on the phone, the Home, Menu, Back and Search keys now didn't work either!

For the past 3 hours I have been searching the intrawebs for answers, and trying everything except a restore since my last recovery is from sometime in August when I first flashed Cyanogen7 onto the phone.

Up until this weekend the phone has been working just fine, and I did not install any new apps/mods etc in that time.

A little info about the phone: HTC Thunderbolt (obviously)
Model ADR 6400L
Kernel Version 2.6.35.14-cyanogenmod+slayer@homebrewed#7
Mod Version CyanogenMod-7.1.0-RC1.6.1-Thunderbolt-KANG
Build number GRJ90
Android Version 2.3.5
I have clockwork mod installed and also Titanium Pro so if I do need to do a recovery I am hoping it will not be a major issue.

Thanks in advance for any help.

my keypad is starting to miss letters i, k, m
I spoke with a tech at an aftermarket vendor and bought a new digitizer, the glass screen. He thinks my bouncing the TB a few times loosened the contacts, but for ~$35 i figured i'd go for a new digitizer and also fix the ear phone speaker.
